SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING
Clinicians provide assessment and counseling services for individuals with substance abuse problems. Clients who seek therapy for substance issues can additionally benefit from Basic Substance Education, Self-Awareness, Recovery and Relapse Prevention. Additional treatment approaches may help clients with related issues such as Anger Management, Coping Skills, Social Development, Recreation, Citizenship, Career Awareness, Family Issues, Social Skills, Psycho-Education, Medical Services, and Survivors.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) are often clinical approaches when working with clients who have substance abuse issues. Additionally, clinicians are highly familiar with the 12-step programs and if interested can integrate a faith based approach to therapy.
